TheGrindHouse.Net is the official store of Apprehensive Films. When this website started, back in 2006, this store was dedicated solely to GrindHouse related DVDs. The main focus of Apprehensive Films was to create and release GrindHouse films. Although this is still our favorite genre, the company has grown to include retro B-Movies, Indie Films, Instructional Films, Documentaries, Parodies and even Stand-Up Comedy CDs. But you will notice all of the merchandise available here, fits together very nicely.

Apprehensive Films: "We Produce & Distribute Films of Questionable Taste." That very accurately describes the nature of Apprehensive Films' business. Apprehensive Films started out in 1997 as a production company producing low budget Super-8 & 16mm grindhouse style films. The company has gone onto to produce dozens of DVDs, short films, music videos and it's first in-house feature "Why Lie? I Need a Drink" is coming to DVD soon.

We got into the distribution end of filmmaking back in 2006. We have more than 30 DVD releases out on the market currently. Some of our releases are in very limited distribution as that is the nature of that type of film. Some of our titles have very wide distribution. Our largest release to date is the 30th Anniversary DVD of Hardware Wars. Which is available everywhere from Hastings to BlockBuster.com to NetFlix to BestBuy.com and many many other outlets.

Apprehensive Films also handles some films for limited theatrical distribution and delivers the televsion show "Cinema Insomnia" to more than 25 cities every week. So please browse through TheGrindHouse.Net and we're sure you'll find something that you didn't even know you had to have.
